Just got a really nice Monorail off of eBay for $80 shipped. It has never been opened so I was the first to crack the warranty seal to check the inside. It came from the factory with 16MB onboard, and I would like to upgrade the memory to 32mb. I know it takes 2 72-pin SIMMs, but what I want to know is what kind? It's kind of a pain to pull it all apart and put it back together, so I'd like to know if it's EDO, ECC or just plain regular ones. Any help is appreciated! I know Brandon Bishop (bbishoppcm) had one, so I know he will know, but he hasn't been on here in a while.

So, a manual may be out there (I can google around also) but your best bet may still be opening up the unit since that'll let you know what spec the current ram is instantly as well as if you have two 8MB SIMMs or 1 16MB SIMM, etc. You might be able to save yourself some time there if you already had 1 SIMM.

I have the manual, but it doesn't show anything.. simply urges to never open it. I opened it as soon as I got it, so I knew it didn't have any modules in the sockets. I ended up installing 2 16MB EDO SIMMs, and they seem to work fine. Wasn't TOO bad to take apart, just weird.

I seem to recall I just fed it whatever 72 pin SIMMs I could find and it worked.
