Poll not a very good idea, it's been a while and now I'd change my vote to 1 from None.

For what it's worth, I have just ordered 10 PCBs from Andrew, and placed an order for 10 more kits worth of ICs.
So far, 4 of them are already spoken for. Contact me if you're interested in a kit or card.
Estimated prices are: $27 each for a kit, $42 for assembled and tested, plus shipping. There may be some paypal fees too.

I will have final prices after jameco ships to me, and if I have to chase down an order from mouser for the eeproms.
All 10 of these cards will come with the ISA bracket and screws to mount it to the PCB, and will have jumpers installed! Woo!

It'll be at least a week before parts arrive, and probably two more before cards are shipping.

Would it be possible for me to get an pre-programmed ATMEL EEPROM From you if/when you order them from mouser?

Hi! The XT-IDE PCBs have arrived! The bare PCBs are $12 each plus shipping which is $2 in the US and $5 elsewhere. If you order multiple PCBs I will combine shipping but final cost will depend on weight. These are the "do it yourself" PCBs similar to the other N8VEM home brew computer project boards.

If you've already sent email you can just send a PayPal for the cost and I'll send you your PCBs. Be sure your PAYPAL address is correct!

You can contact me at mailto:LYNCHAJ@YAHOO.COM?subject=XT-IDE if you have any questions.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Andrew Lynch

PS, I've been really swamped lately with work and other things so I apologize if this seems a bit disjointed. Many people have sent XT-IDE emails but I am literally weeks behind on responding and completely lost track of any sense of a queue. My plan is to just send the PCBs out in the order I receive the PayPals to get the bunch thinned out a bit and then work the individual cases as needed. I much appreciate your patience.

Will there be any future batches? Or is this the last batch that's gonna be made?

I might be interested in obtaining a pre-assembled one later.

I would think with the demand there will be future batches.
That said, andrew has PCBs right now that are waiting to be sold. If you've got a PCB, you can always source ICs for it later, and then get someone (or learn) to solder it up in the future.

Of the 10 cards that I announced I was going to source parts for and sell, within 12 hours I was sold out. Demand still seems good, so the flow of cards should continue.

I'd realy prefer to have one completed unit. I realy can't solder. I'm a little short on cash right now, so no hurry right now :)

Hi! I guess I am rather surprised at the continuing demand for these boards. I thought these were the "clean up" orders to finish off whatever remaining interested builders there were left.

However, continuing interest is good and a testimony to Hargle's (and others) hard work on the XT-IDE project. When these boards are gone I'll order more like the rest of the N8VEM ECB Eurocard boards.

I think Hargle is right though, if you want to preserve your options but don't want the hassle of self assembly right now then get a PCB and hold on to it until another builder will assemble it for you or you do it yourself. Really this is a fairly simple board so self assembly should be a realistic option for practically anyone. I am sure there are valid exceptions but those are rare.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Hi! I spent some time yesterday evening going through my old email and messages searching for the XT-IDE requests. I think I've replied to all of them and everyone *should* be up to date on PCB availability. I mailed some PCBs out and am getting ready to send the rest as needed.

It would be a lot better if this were more organized but honestly current events are not helping matters a whole lot. I guess my advice is that if you'd like an XT-IDE board sooner rather than later is to send your PayPal with a correct shipping address. In the evening when I get a chance to work on this I start with current PayPals first since I want those addressed ASAP.

I *think* there should be enough PCBs to make everybody happy based on what I've seen so far. My plan was to order enough to deal with whatever current demand exists and have a small stash of PCBs for whomever comes along later. That still looks good at least at the moment.

Your patience is much appreciated by me and others on the XT-IDE project. Please remember this is a *hobby* not a business or commercial enterprise. We are hobbyists just like you!

Thanks and have a nice day!

Thanks! :)

I realize it's a hobby project (and one of the most impressive ones I've seen!), I'm not in a hurry though.
I just don't want to, lets say, arrive at the party to find the party is already over ;)

Just an FYI to those who have contacted me about picking up a card from this batch of 10:

Parts received last night and I will be starting to build them up tonight. Expect an invoice via paypal within the next week.

One more update: I goofed on parts needed, and had to get yet another batch of devices from jameco.
Good news is that everything is here now as of yesterday, and I have atmel eeproms!
So, apologies for the 2 week delay, but as of tuesday, for those of you who have ordered, expect your invoices to be coming.
